Simple Woman's Daybook: September 28

For today...
Outside my window...is a beautiful fall day!!!

I am thinking...that this has been a wonderful, leisurely day after a crazy weekend.

I am thankful for...that Olivia is doing okay after having an allergic reaction to her antibiotic this weekend. She hasn't been sick since birth so I didn't know she had an allergy to this medication. She woke up yesterday morning and was broke out in a rash all over her body. She is doing okay and now we have a different antibiotic to heal up her ear infection.
From the kitchen...a Goody Butter Cake is in the oven for my grandma's birthday party tonight. I have several yummy meals planned for this week so go check out my meal plan.

I am wearing...khaki capri pants and a red polo top.
I am creating... a clean house....

I am going...to my parents house tonight for the dinner birthday party.

I am reading...Finally Alive by John Piper and the book of Titus.
I am hoping...that we don't get anymore rain for awhile. The farmers at our church really need it to hold off so they can start harvesting soon.
I am hearing...a Josh Groban CD playing in the background.

Around the house...laundry is folded and stacked on the couch (needing to be put away :-)), a few dishes in the sink that need to be washed up, Olivia is napping, and I need to finish item # 1 on my fall cleaning list. (I'll post the list later)
One of my favorite things...driving in the mountains during the peek of fall foliage.
A few plans for the rest of the week...working on my fall cleaning, finishing my regular weekly cleaning, laundry, a visit with my mom and siblings, grocery shopping on Thursday, bible study on Friday (we are starting a short study on the book Be Fruitful and Multiply by Nancy Campbell)and a pee wee football game on Saturday with dinner out afterwards.
Picture thought I'm sharing...

I love her beautiful, blue eyes!!!

I replied to my blog post and then I didn't know if you'd clicked the button for email follow up for other comments so I thought I might should post here just in case! Didn't want you to think I was ignoring you.

Girl we have those weeks as well and you just have to get through them doing your best. You & Olivia would be more than welcome at our home any evening for dinner......but I think the commute would be a killer! :) I do bake some of our bread. I wish I did more than I do...maybe that will happen eventually! I do still just buy some sandwich bread, but really try to bake at least a couple loaves a week for sides, toast, or the kids a snack. They prefer the home made bread over just about any other snack and we grind the wheat so it's really good for them. The bread is healthiest for you in the 1st 3 days---say that's why I don't fret to much over buying store bought for some stuff...but specialty breads that will be eaten that day or things like pancakes we grind and make fresh. I used to make several loaves at a time when I had my double oven and could fit 6 in at a time--but since I don't have that anymore, I don't freeze as much bread. Got to figure out how to work all that in my schedule here! :) Happy Wednesday
