Seasons

We had a wonderful weekend with lots of beautiful weather to enjoy. We spent most the day working on projects outside and running around with Olivia. It felt great to get outside and enjoy the fresh air after spending weeks cooped up inside with two little ones. I'm anticipating Spring more and more these days. Long walks or bike rides, weekends spent at our cabin on the river, camping, swinging at the park, or just watching Olivia ride her little four-wheeler around the yard. I have enjoyed the Fall and Winter where we snuggling up to read books or watch movies, played in the snow, and drank hot chocolate and coffee more than we should. Isn't God wonderful for giving us seasons!!

I also find myself cherishing this "season" of motherhood that I'm in now too. Seeing the world through my little girls eyes is a joy and watching my little boy smile at the sound of my voice brings tears to my eyes. How I love the beautiful children God has blessed me with at this time. But my life also has it's challenges and I find myself crying with my babies at times. It's easy to become overwhelmed when one has a dirty diaper and the other just spit-up all over you for the sixth time that day. I've realized that those are the times you just have to hold them closer and say "I love being a mommy!"  One thing at a time is my motto and if I have to do a few more loads of laundry than normal that's okay.

Olivia took an early nap on the couch.

Helping mommy cook breakfast Saturday morning. Don't you just love her hair :-)
Maybe if I help daddy with this we can go outside sooner...

but daddy didn't agree :-)

This little guy is growing up so fast.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend as much as we did!!

Olivia's hair looks a lot like Lula Mae's when she wakes up :-) You just have to love those curls! I can't wait to have my little boy and see what it is like to be a Mommy of 2! Glad you had a great weekend!
