A Menu for the Month

So I made my menu for the month today. I am really trying hard to put together meals from things we already have in the cabinet and freezer. We had some unexpected bills this month so are budget is a little tight.

Some of this is suject to change. Most of our family lives nearby so we are invited to dinner or supper often.


Menu for October
October 6 – October 31

Monday- Lasagna at Mom and Dad’s

Tuesday- Grilled Cheese and Baked Beans

Wednesday- Taco Salad

Thursday- Oven Fried Chicken w/ fried okra and potatoes

Friday- Chili

Saturday- Eat out @ McAllister’s

Sunday- Leftovers/ Eat at church

Monday- Cheesy Potato Soup w/ homemade bread

Tuesday- Spaghetti w/ green beans and garlic toast

Wednesday- Creamy Chicken Noodle

Thursday- Leftovers

Friday- Homemade Pizza

Saturday- Eat out

Sunday- Leftovers/ Eat at church

Monday- Brown Beans and Tuna Patties

Tuesday- Frozen Lasagna w/ salad

Wednesday- Leftovers

Thursday- Turkey Roast w/ mashed potatoes and leftover beans

Friday- Chicken Strips w/ French fries

Saturday- Eat out

Sunday- Leftovers/ Eat at church

Monday- Hamburgers

Tuesday- Grilled Chicken w/ baked potato

Wednesday- Red beans, Rice, and Sausage

Thursday- Leftovers

Friday- Breakfast

Lunch: Bologna, PB and jelly, grilled cheese or turkey sandwiches, chicken noodle or rice soup, leftovers, frozen pizza, chips, and bananas.


Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, and toast, pop tarts, pancakes or waffles, oatmeal, or granola bars.

It's so nice to plan menus for a month and then be done with it. :-) Before I got pregnant this time I was trying once a month cooking...it was so nice to have meals in the freezer! But now that food and I don't always get a long I'm back to my old method of not trying too many new recipes and planning two weeks at a time. :-)
