Daddy is home and the weekend is here!!!

Time is flying by in my little world. I woke up to the end of another work week and felt as if it had passed me by without my noticing. Why is it that these years when our children are young and precious pass by so quickly? I tell myself that I’m going to cherish them before they fly away, but my days are busy and I find myself falling into bed at night wishing I had more time with them. I had plans to blog more this week but never actually sat down to work on a post. I did enjoy time with my family this week!!

Eric and my father-in-law left us early Tuesday morning to attend the T4G conference in Louisville, KY. So my mother-in-law and I packed up the kids and went to Branson for a quick shopping trip.

I even enjoyed a little free time getting a pedicure and manicure yesterday. I haven't had a pedicure since our wedding day (2 1/2 years) so this was a real treat for me!!

We all had a wonderful time, but I was so excited to see my husband walk in the door last night!!
You were greatly missed Daddy!!

Our plans for the weekend include enjoying the beautiful weather, a fish fry with family this evening, a lot of cuddling with daddy, and mowing the yard. :-)

What are your plans?!?!

spending time with the family as well - but we'll be swapping out winter clothes with summer clothes and combining the boys stuff into one closet---needless to say this is going to involve some creativity and lots of measuring I do believe........but I'm thankful to have clothes to clothe my children! Maybe we'll grill out a little too!

I feel the same way about time with my little girl. Life went by fast before, but now that I am a Mom it goes 10 times as fast. I have to remind myself daily that she will only be a "baby" for a blink of an eye so wait until she naps to fold the laundry, empty the dishwasher or scrub the tub. I am so worried that I will look back, years from now, and regret not spending these precious moments with her. Take in all the joy from your little gifts from God. If you don't blog for a few days we totally understand! Enjoy your weekend!

Our weekend is going to consist of waiting on our son to possibly make his entrance into the world! Who knows! Could be days... or weeks!

Thanks for the comment! I love reading about other christian ladies' days so I thought I would do one. Although when I typed it up I thought it sounded really boring! So I'm glad you enjoyed it! I would love it if you did a post like that! (*hint, hint*) lol
