Simple Woman's Daybook

FOR TODAY...October 26th

Outside my window... it was rather sunny this morning but now the cloud cover has come and rain will be here soon...
I am thinking... that the baby is very low for almost 33 weeks...I didn't feel this way with Olivia till the very end.

I am thankful for... such a slow Monday...we had a busy weekend.

I am wearing... gray sweat pants and a black maternity top..I went for comfort today. :-)
I am remembering... the snow days we had last year...looking forward to a few this year too!!
I am going... to several doctor appointments this week.
I am reading... still working on Be Fruitful and Multiply by Nancy Campbell....

I am hoping... that I get some of the energy I've had lately back.

On my mind... Thanksgiving!!!

Noticing that... are yard needs to be raked soon. :-)
I am hearing... instrumental hymn CD playing in the background.
From the kitchen... going to eat dinner at my parents tonight...I'm taking an apple tray with caramel dip for dessert.

Around the house... laundry is done for the day, sheets are washed and ready to be put back on the beds, my home management binder is sitting on the coffee table waiting to be organized for November, and Olivia is napping.
One of my favorite things~ preparing for the holiday season!!
A few plans for the rest of the week...
visiting with family, doctor appointments for Olivia and myself, mid-week church service, cleaning, laundry, and a trip out of town this weekend for Eric's great-grandmother's 90th birthday. ( If you get to know my husbands family very well then you will see that we celebrate everything with a fish fry) :-)

From my picture journal...

This is an Goody Butter Cake I made recently. I plan to post the recipe soon.

I haven't got the sketch books but I"m glad to hear that you liked them. With the kids this young I definitely want to make it a hands on thing immediately. I will look into these as I'm trying to get all my stuff gathered up. I definitely want to do these and repeat it throughout our schooling!!!!
